Sports Premium

Primary PE and Sport Premium is an initiative that aims to help increase and improve the PE and sporting opportunities for children.  It has been allocated to primary school headteachers and is ring-fenced, meaning that it can only be spent on the provision of PE and sport in schools.  This is allocated to schools based on numbers of pupils in Year 1- Year 6 and thus 2021/2022 brings our first Sports Premium Strategy / Report.

Sports Provision

We use specialist sports coaches for our PE provision (our PE curriculum lessons). This gives quality learning experiences to all of our children. Our learning and teaching team are also able to benefit from a CPD opportunity from observing the sessions. Every child receives two hours of sports coach teaching per week as part of our standard curriculum offer.

We extend our standard curriculum offer by also offering lunchtime activities and sports clubs after school.

Here is our sports extended offer:

  • Tuesday lunchtime- Active Sports
  • Tuesday afternoon- Gym
  • Tuesday afternoon- Football
  • Wednesday morning- Dance
  • Wednesday afternoon- Unihoc
  • Thursday lunchtime- Active Sports
  • Thursday afternoon- Dodgeball
  • Thursday afternoon- Multi-sports

Our provider is U-Sports.
